'Arom' ceramic jam jar by Marianne Westman for Rörstrand Sweden
A ceramic 'Sylt' (jam) jar from the 'Arom' series, designed by Marianne Westman (1928-2017) in the 1950s for Rörstrand Sweden.
This jar features hand-painted decor in a cheerful pink/red hue, with the Swedish word for jam painted in black script, and a teak wood lid.
The lid has been revived with 'holzbutter', and this piece is in overall decent vintage condition. It does not have any chips or cracks, but there is discolouration to the ceramic in several places. The jar has a capacity of 500 ml and features the Rörstrand backstamp on the base.
