Story Time.

This ethos informs my calling here at Saga Vintage – sourcing the stunning, eclectic, character-filled vintage details that help bring a space to life and make a house a home.

Based in Zürich, at the heart of Europe, I search Switzerland and beyond to bring you a curated vintage homewares collection, consisting solely of beautiful, timeless, high-quality and functional pieces, that were created to be used and loved across generations. 

Each piece tells a story, and my reverence for these narratives is encapsulated in the name ‘Saga Vintage’. Saga is the Scandinavian goddess of history and storytelling, so it is only fitting that she is the namesake for this business. Saga Vintage pieces range from 20 to up to 80 or more years old, and each carries its own unique story. I appreciate and revel in these stories, and am passionate about finding out as much as I can about each piece and sharing this with you.   

My work at Saga Vintage is underpinned by the two complementary principles: timeless and quality design, and environmental and social responsibility. Every part of my process is informed by the mantra ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’, and you can read more about this here. 

I firmly believe that things were just made better back in the day, and see this persistently, for example, in handmade midcentury tableware that is in as good a condition as it was the day it was first brought home. By buying vintage rather than new, you can reduce your impact on the planet, whilst acquiring a high quality piece for a fraction of the cost of a new product of comparable quality. 

When you support a small business you are supporting a dream! By choosing Saga Vintage, you are helping an expat mum turn her passion for vintage curating and interior styling into a vocation. In memory of my son Otto, and in the spirit of giving back, one per cent of the annual revenue from my business will be donated to the organisation Kindsverlust Schweiz. It is my genuine hope that as Saga Vintage matures, this percentage will increase.
