Set of three teak wood bookends by Kai Kristiansen for Feldballe Møbelfabrik
A set of three teak wood bookends, designed by Danish furniture designer Kai Kristiansen (1929-) for Feldballe Møbelfabrik. This set comprises two smaller sized bookends and one larger bookend, all in the same style. They date to the 1960s, and are in typical Danish Modern style.
This set is in excellent vintage condition; the teak wood has been conditioned in 'holzbutter' to bring out the beautiful tone and grain. The metal elements have some superficial scratches, which are not visible when in use. The metal elements are easily detachable from the wooden parts, making for easy reconditioning.
The smaller bookends measure 12.5 cm tall and 8.5 cm wide at the base, and the larger bookend 13.5 cm tall and 9 cm wide at the base.
